Wentworth police made inroads in the war against dagga in November.
After receiving intelligence information on 21 November about a 35-year-old man selling drugs in Craigness Place, Austerville, Wentworth police patrolled the area.
The station’s vispol members along with Warrant Officer Craig Brigetta, Sargent Mazibuko and Constable Ndlovu found the man in possession of ready-made sloops of marijuana wrapped in white papers.

He was arrested and detained for possession of dagga. After appearing in Wentworth court, he was released on R500 bail on Wednesday, 22 November.
The same officers were given information about drugs at a site in Richard Winn Road, where they discovered dagga weighing just over a kilogram and 165 ready-made sloops of dagga wrapped in white paper were found abandoned. The items were seized by the police.
Wentworth SAPS spokesman, Captain Mbuso Gumede said: “Possession of dagga or any drugs that are not legal will lead to arrests by police and anyone found to be in possession of drugs or narcotics will be charged. The youth must stay away from drugs and focus on education.”
