Montclair seniors enjoy golden oldie song guessing game

We also needed to help one another by offering someone a lift or helping your neighbour with something.

LAST month devotions at the Montclair Senior Citizens Club was taken by Paster Roy of the Montclair Methodist Church.

He highlighted the fact that often we are so busy working and worrying about everything, that we forget to live and enjoy life.

We need to have more more faith and trust. He also urged everyone to help one another by offering someone a lift or helping your neighbour with something.

Pastor Roy said it was so pleasing to see how, during the recent weather disaster, strangers helped one another to get out of vehicles and members of the community cleared debris and prayed for everyone affected by the storm.

Dave brought his music player and members listened to music of Pat Boone, Vera Lynne, Mario Lanza, Frank Sinatra, Fats Domino and other popular singers of yesteryear. Members had to guess the name of the singer and the song.

There were a few prizes for the right answers. The next meeting will be held on Thursday, 9 November.
