UPDATE: Security guard left critical after Bluff shooting

Paramedics found the man lying in the road behind his vehicle

A man, believed to be in his 40s, has been left critically injured following a shooting incident on the Bluff’s Maxwell Avenue.

Paramedics responded to the scene where police and security service providers had congregated.

They discovered the man lying in the road behind his vehicle.
Paramedics found he had sustained a gunshot wound to his pelvis, leaving him in a critical condition.

The man was treated for his injuries and was provided with advanced life support interventions. He was transported to a nearby private hospital. While the cause of the incident is not yet known, it is believed the shooting was related to a robbery. This could not be confirmed with Brighton Beach SAPS at the time of writing.
