Owner of Pitta Patta, Jackie Goncalves thanked everyone who contributed towards the raffle.
Amile’s mother, Phiwo is grateful for all the help and support that the schools and local community are offering her daughter.
“Amile is doing well. She is carrying on as normal and her health is pretty much the same as before,” said Phiwo.

There is a slight financial reprieve it seems, as Phiwo says the surgery for Amile will be free but everything else including her hospital stay, post-surgery care and so on will have to be paid for by the family.
“I’m thankful for this glimmer of hope and I thank everyone who has raised money. It will be used to care for Amile and help her progress to full health. It is still a long road that we have to travel,” she added.
