Pre-school staff’s long service heritage celebrated

The pre-school celebrated its own heritage by awarding the long service of 10 staff members

TEACHERS at Woodhaven Pre-Primary School were unaware of the surprise they were going to receive on Friday, 22 September.
In line with Heritage Day, the pre-school celebrated its own heritage by awarding the long service of 10 staff members who have become part of the family and played a part in the growth of the children and the school.

Toni Bothma was a recipient of the service award

“Today we honour the dedicated service of staff who have spent many years in this school – educating, loving and nurturing the young minds who come and go. We are thankful for the work they have put in and the care and love they share with our pupils and other staff,” said principal, Yolanda Singh.

She said it was thought to be an appropriate gesture to celebrate the heritage of the school by celebrating those who have been with it from the beginning.
Teachers and staff, including Richard Khumalo who has been at the school as a caretaker for 30 years, was honoured with an award.
