Traffic was congested on both carriageways of the N2 between about 7.30am and 8am at the cement factory near Yellowwood Park, following accidents on both the north and southbound lanes, according to Rescue Care paramedics.

It is unclear what caused those accidents or how many were injured.

Emergency services are currently still on site on the N2 bridge above the M7, where a truck apparently careened into a vehicle that had broken down in the emergency lane.
