11 hurt as school transport taxis crash on Bluff

Nine children were injured

Eleven people, including nine children, were injured when two taxis collided into each other at the corner of Bluff and Balfour roads in Jacobs this morning.

Just after 6.30am Rescue Care paramedics responded and found the two damaged vehicles in the roadway.

One of the taxis was transporting children aged from five to 12-years-old to school. Once all the injured had been stabilised, they were transported to various Durban hospitals.

The exact cause of the collision will be the subject of a police investigation.
