The department denounced criminals who use social media to ‘advertise’ these posts. Many of the ‘advertised posts’ are in subjects which are not scarce, and the department believes they use these subjects because they know they will attract many people qualified in these subjects, who are unemployed.

The department distances itself from these shenanigans and asks the public to be vigilant.

The department will never use social media to advertise posts and does not ask people for money in exchange for positions.

People who have fallen prey to this scam are asked to report this criminal offence to the department and the South African Police Services.
