Durbanites don their woolies as winter bites

Wrap up warm.

DURBANITES are wrapping up warm for the first time this Winter as temperatures drop to the mid to low teens.

According to The Weather Network, today (Wednesday, 12 July) the temperature will range from 17°C in the morning to 18°C in the afternoon and about 16°C tonight.
The day will be mostly cloudy with some potential for rain.

Tomorrow, Thursday, 13 July there will be an increased chance of rain with the temperature ranging from about 16°C to 21°C. The temperature will remain in that region on Friday, with the chance of rain diminished.

Looking to the weekend, Saturday looks to be a little warmer, going up to about 26°C with sunny conditions, but on Sunday the clouds will return and the potential for showers.

Snow Report issued an advanced warning of snow for the Eastern Cape and Drakensberg area for the weekend.

“On late Friday night, 14 July we may see some light snow coming in over the mountains of the Eastern Cape near Barkley East, Lady Grey and Rhodes as well as the Tiffindell surrounds and the Eastern Cape Drakensberg. In the early hours of Saturday morning the cold front should progress into central Lesotho with some snow for the high peaks there, as well as a slight possibility of snow for the Sani Pass region,” read the report.
