Communities flock to skills development project

The programme aims to provides opportunities to develop skills and combat the high rate of unemployment.

THE Stepping Stone skills transfer programme was a hit among the community of Montclair, Woodlands and Yellowwood Park who attended in their numbers at Yellowwood Park Civic Centre on 1 June.

Initiated by Community Media Trust (CMT), the programme provides opportunities to develop skills to combat the high rate of unemployment within communities.
This programme targeted women and girls between the ages of 10 and 24, and men aged
from 20 to 49.
The programme will be open on Thursday, 29 June. “The Stepping Stone programme can change people’s lives and provide solutions on how to look after ourselves and our health, to be empowered with skills, behaviour change and taking relationships to the next level,” said Debra Sibiya of CMT.
