Join BotSoc’s treasure trove indigenous walking tour

Tours around the garden start at 9am and 11am respectively (reserve tour 2pm).

THE Botanical Society of SA KZN Coastal Branch hosts one hour-long walking tours around an attractive 1.5 acre indigenous garden in Atholl Heights, Westville, on Saturday, 10 June.

The home owner will lead the tours and point out special features and plants in the garden which has a wide variety of interesting indigenous shrubs, trees and smaller plants as well as a pond.

The garden is on the top of sandstone cliffs overlooking the Aller River valley and blends naturally into the D’Moss area to the north. Wear walking shoes to be able to explore this delightful hillside garden fully.

Tours around the garden start at 9am and 11am respectively (reserve tour 2pm).

Afterwards, refreshments will be provided when participants can relax and enjoy the view and birdlife.

Booking and pre-payment are essential: BotSoc members R55; non-members R65; children U12 R35. Price includes tea and cake. Proceeds go to BotSoc branch projects.

Numbers are limited to 20 people per tour.

To book, email botsoc-kzn@mweb.co.za or contact 031-201-5111 (Mondays and Thursdays 10am to 4pm) or on 071-869-3693.
