BREAKING NEWS: Pitbull bites Yellowwood Park child (7)

The child is reportedly stable.

A seven-year-old Yellowwood Park boy was bitten by a pitbull this afternoon.

It is not yet known why the dog bit the child but Durban and Coast SPCA staff are en route to the scene.

Netcare 911 paramedics attended to the boy, who was bitten in the upper right thigh. According to spokesman, Chris Botha the child was taken to hospital.

“The family has had the dog for about a week and we don’t know what caused the dog to bite the child, but he was treated by advanced life support paramedics.”
