Deadline looms for Bluff telecom pole comments

Submit your comments before Friday, 12 May.

RESIDENTS have until Friday, 12 May to register their comments about the application to build a telecommunication pole on Clarkson Road on the Bluff.

A notice was delivered to some of the houses in the vicinity about the proposed build specifying its details.

The proposal relates to a 40-metre high mono-type telecommunication mast and base station to be erected at 18 Clarkson Road – an area zoned as general residential 2.

Anyone who wishes to comment on the proposal needs to hand in written complaints to the regional co-ordinator: central region, land use management branch, ground floor, 166 KE Masinga Road (formerly Old Fort Road), by registered mail to PO Box 680, Durban, 4000, fax to 311-7859 or email to mlungisi.ncayiyana@durban.gov.za by 12 May.
