Man survives freak accident in Maydon Wharf

The man was lucky to escape with moderate injuries.

A MAN miraculously escaped with moderate injuries after a steel roll fell off the back of a truck and onto his car in Maydon Wharf on Thursday, 27 April.

The man in his 30s was travelling along Maydon Road when the incident happened.

Rescue Care paramedics attended the scene shortly after noon.

“The driver sustained moderate injuries. He was stabilised at the scene by advanced life support paramedics before being transported to a nearby hospital,” said operations director, Garrith Jamieson.
