Toddler critical after near-drowning incident

The toddler was pulled out from the pool by his father.

A TWO-and-a-half-year-old Bluff child is in a serious condition in hospital after a near-drowning incident on Thursday, 27 April.

Paramedics responded to a call at about 2.30pm about the incident at a home in Devon Grove.

“Rescue Care paramedics received a distress call from the Bluff Community Orientated Policing and immediately dispatched paramedics to the scene,” said Rescue Care operations director, Garrith Jamieson.

The toddler was pulled out from the pool by his father.

Advanced life support paramedics stabilised him on scene before taking him to hospital.
