Call to participate in Durban Gandhi Salt March

It's an event where people come together to show their solidarity.

The Gandhi Development Trust hosts the Salt March on Sunday, 23 April.

Organisers say it is a march with a purpose an event where people come together to show their solidarity with the principles of ubuntu, non-violence and environmental protection.

The Gandhi Development Trust (GDT) was established in 2002. Its aim is to promote Gandhian thought and values.

The march begins at 8am on the Durban beachfront from the amphitheatre to uShaka and back. The organisers say the march is not competitive, instead it is for you to enjoy, meet people, bond with people of different backgrounds, races, religions and commit yourself to the goals of ubuntu, nonviolence and conservation.
