Woman stabbed in neck with broken bottle at Clairwood hotel

She was immediately taken to hospital where she was stabilised.

A CLAIRWOOD woman was stabbed in the neck Saturday, 8 April after she was accused of disrespecting another woman’s boyfriend.

The woman was at a Clairwood hotel where she was drinking and talking to a man. When her boyfriend’s friend saw this he confronted her, and questioned her about the man she was talking to. “She got defensive and asked him if he had a problem. The girlfriend of the man questioning the woman took offence and told her she is being disrespectful,” said Montclair SAPS communication officer, Capt Dereck Vijiam.

According to a witness, the man’s girlfriend allegedly grew angry at the disrespectful woman  grabbed a broken bottle and stabbed her in the neck. She was immediately taken to hospital where she was stabilised.
