City to remove Durban #ZumaMustFall bus blockades

Use other routes where possible.

Ethekwini Municipality is working to remove buses blocking arterial roads in the city.

The operation is being conducted in partnership with municipal bus operator, Tansnat.

“The buses were parked by bus drivers this morning after leaving the depot and the reason for this is suspected to be linked to the national mass action taking place today.

Affected roads include Umgeni Road, M4 North and South and the N2 near Spaghetti Junction.

City officials and the bus operator are working to move the buses as quickly as possible as well as to identify the culprits and take the necessary disciplinary action,” read a statement from the municipality.

Metro Police and City Fleet will tow the buses away but motorists are urged to use other roads where possible in the interim.
