JUST IN: Businesses in vicinity of #DurbanFire ordered to stop work

BUSINESSES in the vicinity of the Bayhead fire have been asked to cease operations as a safety precaution.
BREAKING NEWS: Fire rages at South Coast Road factory
Those businesses still operating have been asked to shut down and for staff to leave the area.
The M4 southern freeway, South Coast Road and Solomon Mahlangu Drive (Edwin Swales VC) have been cordoned off in the areas around the blaze.
Disaster management teams which include Metro Police and SAPS staff are on the scene and have set up an operation centre to handle the situation.

No other evacuation orders have been issued as issued as yet.
eThekwini Municipality confirmed in a statement late this afternoon that the warehouse contained large quantities of wax and plastic.
