Biker dies in third M7 crash

Paramedics have been called out to three accidents along the M7.

A BIKER has died and several others have been injured in three incidents on the M7 this morning, 23 March.

Rescue Care paramedics attended three accidents along the M7 this morning, the first at shortly after 7.30am. A six-car pile-up, heading east near the N2 left six injured.

At about 10am on the westbound lane near the N3, a truck veered off the road and landed on its roof on the grass median.

About half an hour later, a truck and motorbike accident claimed the life of a 41-year-old man on the M7 opposite the VW dealership. According to Rescue Care’s Garrith Jamieson, the motorcyclist was in critical condition when paramedics arrived and unfortunately died on scene. One person from the truck was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
