Wessa to host night walk on beach

The event begins at 6.30pm and everyone will meet at the Wessa Treasure Beach Education Centre.

HEADING out into nature after dark is something we tend to steer clear of for several reasons but the Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa (WESSA) urges locals to join in its next night walk.

The night walk is scheduled for Friday, 24 March, with a bring and braai social afterwards.

The event begins at 6.30pm and everyone will meet at the Wessa Treasure Beach Education Centre.

Those who do join must be prepared for a world of learning as the night walk offers an intriguing experience which will expose them to some colourful and interesting creatures that inhabit the rock pools at Treasure Beach.

Walkers will be charged a small fee and are asked to wear comfortable shoes and take their own meat and refreshments. Those who are interested must RSVP before Wednesday, 22 March.
