Wentworth model scoops teen title

Not only was the competition about winning but it also allowed us to help people.

WENTWORTH model, Colleen Simon is on winning streak as she scooped up yet another title on Saturday, 25 February.

The charitable 16-year-old pupil from Fairvale Secondary uses her modelling as an opportunity to give back to the community,which also forms part of her modelling competitions such as the recent win of the Miss Unique Charity title. Although charity work was part of her work as a finalist in the Miss Unique pageant, Simon used the opportunity to spread awareness about underprivileged girls who can’t afford the cost of basic hygiene such as sanitary towels.

“Not only was the competition about winning but it also allowed us to help people and to encouraged others to get more involved in charity work,” said Simon.

The teenager walked away with two titles, Miss Unique Charity and Miss Petite Unique. “I want to thank everybody for their amazing support and for helping me get where I am today and also where I will be going in the future,” she added.

She thanked her parents, especially her mother, Melani Simon for always guiding and pushing her to persevere and strive for the best.
