Pensioners to process rates rebates forms

The form must be signed in front of a Commissioner of Oaths.

TO assist the senior citizen residents in ward 64, Councillor, Gavin Hegter will collect completed forms and will submit them on residents’ behalf to the city for processing.

The forms have already been mailed to eThekwini Municipality and should be received by them shortly.

The form must be signed in front of a Commissioner of Oaths. This can be done at any police station, post office or by the ward councillor.

The signed forms can be dropped off at the following collection points: Yellowwood Park post office, Montclair library or with the manager at Montclair recreational hall at 191 Wood Road.

Cllr Hegter will be at Montclair library on Wednesday, 15 March from 1pm to 2pm and again on 6 April from 9am to 10am to certify and collect the forms.

If you are the owner of a property and over the age of 60 or own a bed and breakfast or a guest house and are not receiving a rates rebate you should contact your Ward Councillor to assist you in applying.
