Wentworth mum pleads for daughter’s safe return

"I just want my daughter back."

A WENTWORTH teenager, Alexis Young disappeared from her home on Wednesday, 22 February between 7am and 7.30am.

According to police, her mother last saw her 18-year-old daughter preparing to go to school that morning. When she returned from work, the mother noticed Alexis had packed her clothes and left the house. A friend of her daughter informed her she did not attend school. The pupil from Merebank High School is slender, well spoken and has short black hair.

Flyers were distributed by family members over the weekend in Wentworth and Merebank with a message from Alexis’ mother. “As a mom, I’m pleading with anyone who has information to please come forward, I just want my daughter back,” she said.

If anyone knows her whereabouts, contact Sgt Dunn at Wentworth SAPS at 031-451-6240/6241/6242.
