Man’s fatal fall from Maydon Wharf building

Police will investigate after the worker fell the equivalent of about three storeys

A man died after falling the equivalent of about three storeys from the roof of a Maydon Wharf building on Saturday afternoon 25 February.

At about 1.30pm, Rescue Care paramedics were called to assess the man in Maydon Road, whose fall from a roof where he was working, was fatal. It is unclear what caused his fall.

Rescue Care’s Garrith Jamieson said the advanced life support paramedics who assessed the man found he had died before their arrival.

Police attended the scene and will investigate his death.
