Two people were entrapped in the wreckage

A TRUCK collision has claimed the life of one person after he and another person were working on a truck on the M7 before Wakesleigh (Tuesday, 17 January) at about 11.25am.

Two men were trapped under the trucks

According to Rescue Care paramedic, Garrith Jamieson a truck broke down in the left lane of the M7 from the N2 towards Wakesleigh Road. Another truck collided into it before it struck a bakkie.

“Two people were entrapped in the wreckage, one died at the scene while the other is in critical condition. Two people in the bakkie were also injured and were transported to hospital,”said Jamieson.

Only one lane is open to traffic from both directions.
