Don’t be duped in fraudulent Coke job scam

Job seekers are advised not to be attracted or lured by any communication which solicits payment or otherwise.

Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has hit back at criminals claiming to be its representatives who are conveying fraudulent offers of employment in exchange for payment to bypass the recruitment process.

In a statement released on Friday, the company said offers were emanating from unauthorised individuals fraudulently recruiting on ABI’s behalf or claiming to work for or on behalf of the company. ABI is one of the merger entities that make up CCBSA.

CCBSA swarn the public and communities about this scam and advises that these activities are not authorised by, nor linked in any way to CCBSA or its entities. All such activities are regarded as criminal and unlawful and should be reported accordingly.

The company statement said it nor any of its entities would ever ask for upfront fees or payment before, during and/or after the recruitment process.

Job seekers are advised not to be attracted or lured by any communication which solicits payment or otherwise. If in doubt or suspicious about offers of employment you have received, contact CCBSA on 0800-00-5174 to confirm whether the offer is legitimate.

CCBSA assures the public that it is taking this matter extremely seriously and is investigating all claims received. “We will be working with the relevant authorities to end this fraudulent activity.”
