Casual conversation leads to stabbing

The attacker became aggressive and used degrading and homophobic language towards the victim.

A MAN was stabbed after allegedly being insulted during an argument with another on Friday, 26 August at the Transnet lodge, Montclair.

Police were told that at about 10pm, the two were at a friend’s house and were having a conversation about women and the way men dress.
The night took a weird turn when the attacker became aggressive and used degrading and homophobic language towards the victim. The victim, ignoring the abuse, went to the toilet. When he returned to fetch his phone, he was attacked and stabbed in the chest. The attacker ran off. The victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment. He survived the attack.

No arrests have been made yet but police are investigating a case of attempted murder.
