Woman hurt in hit-and-run

The pedestrian was seriously injured when a car struck her and fled the scene.

ON a day when the lives of women were supposed to be celebrated, one woman was left fighting for her life when she was mowed down by a vehicle in a hit and run incident on Kenyon Howden Road, Montclair on Tuesday, 9 August.

At about 11am, Netcare 911 paramedics found the 29-year-old pedestrian lying on the ground. She was seriously injured when a car struck her and fled the scene.

She was treated at the scene before she was transported to a nearby hospital under the constant care of advanced life support.
