BREAKING NEWS: Sub-station explosion injures five workers

The cause of the explosion is unknown but the Durban fire department will investigate it.

FIVE men have been seriously injured in an explosion in the sub-station they were working on in Richard Carte Road, Jacobs this morning.

Rescue Care paramedics arrived to find the five men with serious injuries and more ambulances, and advanced life support paramedics were called to help with the multiple casualty scene. Once all  the injured had been stabilised, they were transported to nearby hospitals.

The cause of the explosion is unknown but the Durban fire department will  investigate it.
