Counterfeit documents seized in Clairwood raid

The man was arrested for fraud and forgery

COUNTERFEIT documents were seized in Clairwood after Montclair SAPS received information on Tuesday, 26 July.

W/O Tiger Ramsamy received a tip-off of a man printing illegal documents in South Coast Road. He was caught in the act at his scanning machine. The officer searched the premises and found blank Ethekwini municipality letterheads, several passport documents, blank payslips, Home Affairs application forms, blank visa appointment letters and fraudulent asylum seeker temporary permits.

Computer equipment was also seized in the raid. The man was arrested for fraud and forgery and detained at Montclair station.
