Woman attacked in road rage incident

He allegedly grabbed and tried to pull her out the car but she resisted.

A CASE of road rage has allegedly landed a driver in trouble after he attacked a female driver on Tuesday, 26 July on South Coast Road.

While waiting for her  to navigate a large puddle, the driver behind her lost patience and began shouting abuse at her. He allegedly forced his way to her left-hand side and bumped the rear of her car, damaging the bumper. “He then parked alongside her vehicle and rammed his car door against it, damaging her mirror,” said Montclair SAPS communication officer, Cpt Dereck Vijiam.

The assault did not stop there. She reported that the man jumped out his car and lunged towards the her. He grabbed her and tried to pull her out of the car. Bystanders intervened and helped her get away from him, she explained. She drove off but he followed her until she got into town and called the police. “When he saw the police, he allegedly drove off. The suspect has been found and he has opened a case of crimen injuria against the woman for swearing at him,” added Cpt Vijiam.
