THREE hijackers were killed in a crash last night, 1 June after they hijacked a Mercedes in Wentworth.
The hijacking developed into a dramatic high speed chase between the criminals and flying squad members which ended up in Umlazi, . Things heated up when the brazen criminals began shooting at the officers.
The officers returned fire causing the hijackers to lose control of the stolen car and crash. Two suspects were found dead while the third was in critical condition and later died.
Three unlicensed firearms were seized on scene.
