Coedmore Road was blockaded again at about 4am this morning (Thursday, 14 April) by angry protestors from an adjacent graveyard shack settlement.
More burning tyres were placed on the road, blocking off the entrance into Unit Avenue and police warned drivers about stone throwers hidden in the bushes.
The cries of the graveyard dwellers were still thick in the air as their demands for toilets and housing were not met. It is unclear at this time what came of the meeting at city hall, between city management and representatives of the aggrieved protestors.
The protestors were dispersed quickly and the road was reopened by police but they show no signs of stopping until they get what they want.
