Fourteen people were injured when a taxi and bakkie collided on the M1 Higginson Highway above the N2 just after 7am today (Friday, 1 April).
Rescue Care paramedics arrived to find a bakkie and a taxi had collided on the on-ramp to the N2 northbound.
Multiple patients were found to have sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. More ambulances were called to assist and once all of the injured had been stabilised, they were transported to various hospitals.
At this stage it is unclear what caused the collision however the necessary authorities were on scene and will be investigating further.
