UPDATE: Higginson Highway cleared

THE accident scene on the N2 where a truck overturned and blocked the southbound lanes has been cleared.

Rescue Care operations director, Garrith Jamieson confirmed two people who were in the truck were injured as it overturned. Paramedics found the driver and passenger sustained moderate injuries and stabilised them at the scene before transporting them to the nearest hospital.

“It is unclear what caused the truck to overturn but it will be investigated by the authorities,”said Jamieson.
