Club bids farewell to stalwart Redmans

Patti’s position has been taken over by Barbara Peyper, and the club has also employed Michelle Waterman as club manager.

DURBAN Wanderers bids farewell to two stalwarts of the club, Eric and Patti Redman who have held major positions in the hierarchy of the club for many years.

Eric, a former chairman for five years running, and Patti the main club’s current secretary and guiding light for the last 52 years step down from 31 March as they relocate to Durban North.

Eric has lived in the Yellowwood Park area for 61 years. He will be missed by his fellow club members who thank both of them for their many years of hard work, dedication and contribution to the affairs of the club.
The move does not put an end to Eric’s duty as a bowler as he will continue to travel and play bowls for Wanderers. He chirped that he “had no option, as no other club would want me.” The club believes his heart and loyalty will still lie with Wanderers.

Patti’s position has been taken over by Barbara Peyper, and the club has also employed Michelle Waterman as club manager.
