Lover’s quarrel ends in stabbing

The suspect's identity is known to police, who are hopeful of making an arrest soon.

A CLAIRWOOD woman landed in hospital when man, believed to be her boyfriend, stabbed her in the shoulder with a broken bottle on Saturday, 5 March.

It is alleged that her angry boyfriend was fed-up because he felt he was paying too much money for their child. An argument allegedly ensued and turned violent when he grabbed a nearby bottle and broke it. He stabbed her in the left shoulder before fleeing the scene near the Clairwood Plaza butchery.The suspect, whose identity is known to police, disappeared in the shacks and are hopeful of making an arrest soon.
