Kudos for police admin clerk

Her dedication and commitment to the service is appreciated by the SAPS

MONTCLAIR SAPS senior admin clerk, Adele Du Plessis was named admin employee of the year at the Provincial Commissioner’s service excellence awards.

Du Plessis who has been in police service for 22 years did not expect to win when she was invited to attend the glitzy ceremony at the Coastlands Hotel. After being prompted by her colleagues to enter, the humble admin clerk who heads the Management Information Centre, managing the IT department as well as doing crime analysis reports, didn’t think much of it until she was on her way to the hotel on Friday, 29 January. “It was a shock as I did not think I would win, I am very excited by the recognition,” she said.

Management of Montclair SAPS are proud of her achievement. “Her dedication and commitment to the service is appreciated. We wish her future success and recognition as she continues to serve at Montclair SAPS,” said communication officer, W/O Poobalan Marimuthu.
