Garden club cultivates green fingers on Bluff

The club encourages new members to join in for an inspiring morning, as many members have retired.

NATALIA Garden Club holds its first meeting of the year on Thursday, 11 February at the Pigeon Club, Tara Road on the Bluff.

President Karolina will give a talk on rooibos tea.

Tea duty members are to take two plates of snacks and assist in the kitchen. They are Eunice Pickster, Villa Pigg, Marie Pistorius, June Richards, Jennifer Schoeman, Nava Moonsamy, Shirley Shaw and Beryl Smale. Competition topics are Decorative: A song title; cultural: A succulent.

The other usual competitions are best bloom or spray/orchid/pot plant/from my garden. Members are asked to take items to be sold at the sales table.

The club encourages new members to join in for an inspiring morning, as many members have retired. The aim of the club is to promote and encourage the introduction and cultivation of plants, flowers, fruits and vegetables, and to advance and improve the art of gardening and floral decoration.

The monthly meeting is held on the second Thursday of the month from 9.30am to about 11am. Visitors are also welcome.
