Five injured in Clairwood truck, bakkie crash

Their injuries ranged from moderate to serious

Five people were injured, one seriously so, after a truck and a bakkie collided head-on in Archary Road, Clairwood just after 8.30pm on Saturday night, 6 February.

Rescue Care paramedics assessed the five bakkie occupants, who had sustained injuries ranging from moderate to serious. Advanced life support paramedics from EMRS and Rescue Care worked to stabilise the injured before transporting them to a nearby hospital.

At this stage it is unclear what caused the collision however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
