THE 28-year-old man reported missing at Brighton Beach SAPS last week was found dead in a hotel on Thursday, 3 December.
Point SAPS are investigating the shooting of Jan Craemer, who was last seen alive on Monday, 30 November.
It is believe that Craemer was an acquaintance of a 43-year-old man who booked into a hotel on South Beach for two nights on 30 November at about 3pm.
After booking in, the man was seen heading to his room alone. Later that day he left the hotel and returned with another man.
At about 7.30pm, the 43-year-old was again seen leaving the hotel alone and never returned.
When, on 3 December, the room remained locked with a ‘do not disturb’ sign, a hotel employee grew suspicious and opened the door. Inside, he found Craemer dead with gunshot wounds to his body.
Point SAPS are investigating the alleged murder with help from the hotel.
