Help Angels host festive party for children
An appeal has been sent to the community for sponsorship
GIVE the gift of kindness this Christmas by helping Wentworth Angels to host a party for underprivileged children.
Wentworth Angels, a local NPO that helps community members in need, will host their Christmas party on Friday, 11 December. The organisation hopes to host about 300 children, providing them with hot meals, gifts and entertainment.
An appeal has been sent to the community for sponsorship towards a tent, jumping castle, food, cooldrinks, water, sweets, paper plates, spoons and other items, along with volunteers to assist to make the day a success. They also call for help providing grocery hampers for the elderly community members in need.
“For those who have assisted us we appreciate your time and effort of assistance throughout 2015,” said Wentworth Angels director, Tracey Williams.
The angels are also running an ‘adopt a child’ programme, with 18 children still in need of gifts. Contact the organisation to ‘adopt’ a child to send a Christmas gift to, consisting of an outfit for Christmas, shoe, education toy and toiletries.
