Teachers to learn about biodiversity

Local teachers to get free workshop.

SOUTH Durban Basin teachers are invited to a Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa (Wessa) workshop on biodiversity on Wednesday, 28 October.

In partnership with Sapref, the organisation will host 45 teachers from underprivileged schools.

The workshop will cover biodiversity, with a focus on ocean diversity. It will include, among other things, a background on biodiversity, climate change and hands-on activities.

The teachers will be able to take their learned knowledge back to their schools and pass it on to other teachers and their pupils.

The workshop is free and includes tea and lunch.
