School bids farewell to ‘inspirational leader’

Local principal ends her illustrious career.

AFTER 28 years as principal of Glenardle Junior Primary School, Denise Whitehorn, bade farewell on Wednesday, 30 September.

During a heartfelt goodbye, her former pupils and staff said thanks as she set off on her retirement.

“We express in unison our sincere and heartfelt gratitude and admiration of this truly inspirational leader. Mrs Whitehorn has over several decades earned significant respect and adoration, both as an educator and as a principal within our community. Her commitment to service and enhancement of student growth, both academically and socially, have epitomised her sense of dignity and loyalty,” said the staff of their retired leader.

They spoke highly of her dedication, honesty and loyalty and wished her well as she embarked on her new life.

“As we bid farewell to our ‘guiding light’, we treasure memories and experiences shared and trust she will continue to live her life anchored in God’s solid foundation always.”
