REMOTE jamming is a problem in Montclair and car owners are urged to take precautions.
Montclair SAPS warns people to be vigilant when parking and leaving public places. Criminals are using remote jammers to disable car locking systems.
“When parking your vehicle don’t activate your alarm system while walking away from your vehicle. The driver must stand by the vehicle and activate the alarm and check it is locked.
Always be observant of the surroundings and report any suspicious people or vehicles to security and the police,” said communications officer, Warrant Officer Poobalan Marimuthu.
