Don't leave valuable items in sight in cars.

MONTCLAIR SAPS warns residents to be keep valuables out of sight as thieves target cars.

Communications officer, Warrant Officer Poobalan Marimuthu has urged the community to refrain from leaving valuable items in their vehicles. People should also avoid parking on roads and pavements, as criminals are targeting vehicles in the area.

He said anyone making false reports of thefts would find themselves in trouble.

“The complainants reporting cases of theft out of motor vehicles will be subject to a polygraph test as people are reporting false cases. If people are found to be reporting false cases they will be arrested and charged,” said W/O Marimuthu.
