Bands to join in Bluff benefit concert

Local woman is doing well after shooting.

WELL on her way to recovery, the 30-year-old Bluff woman who was shot in a recent hijacking is being offered a helping hand, thanks to the upcoming Jam for Sam.

Sam Musk, who was shot in a hijacking on Friday, 4 September is doing well and is out of ICU.

She has been moved into a surgical ward and is responding positively to her treatment. According to her family, she still has trouble moving her right arm and will have her mouth wired for some time to come.

“She is in pain, but is feeling very positive,” they said.

She still has a long road to recovery and the community has come together to help her and her family rebuild their lives. The Jam for Sam will take place at Fynnland Combined Sports Club on Saturday, 24 October to raise money for Sam as she undergoes physiotherapy and other costly procedures. She only has a hospital plan, which will not cover all her future medical expenses.

According to Errol Fellows, AKA Smelly from Salty Dog, he and his bandmates along with Calamity Jam, DV8, Jo’s Garage, Southern Crisis, Delwyn and The Gypsies, Bobby and The Dynamites, Mongoose In The Shed, Zisamo, Jo’s Garage and Buckshot have all agreed to play at the benefit concert for free.
