A MAN was arrested at Glebelands Hostel yesterday, 21 September for the Montclair murder of two men earlier this month.
The crime intelligence and national intervention unit arrested a 22-year-old man at the hostel, who is linked to the shooting of 53-year-old William Bernard Mthembu and 42-year-old Thokozani Maci on 12 September.
At about 4.30pm the two men opened fire at Mthembu and Maci while the duo was at a shopping centre in Kenyon Howden Road, Montclair.
“Our detectives will work around the clock tracing the outstanding suspect,” said KZN provincial commissioner, Lieutenant General Mmamonnye Ngobeni as she welcomed the arrest of the first man.
He is expected to appear in the Umlazi Magistrate’s Court soon.
