Bluff sanctuary receives nappy run proceeds

The Nappy Run has taken place for about the last 15 years.

Isaiah 54, the Baby House in Westville and Seventh Heaven Old Age Home were some of the gradeful recipients of hundreds of nappies collected by generous bikers in the greater Durban area.

The nappies were handed over at the conclusion of the annual Nappy Run at Woodlands Sports Club on Saturday, 15 August.

“The Nappy Run has taken place for about the last 15 years. I’ve been involved in it for the last two or three years and we are very happy with the donations we received this year,” said president of the Christian Motorcycle Association Durban chapter, Johan van Eck, at the handover.

“Some bikers donated nappies, while others donated cash, which we will use to purchase more nappies and give to other establishments that need.”
